An interesting image of which I can see a red vehicle although I feel it would benefit from a little more focus. It is an action shot and appears a bit blurred for me to view this very clearly. However, the choice of subject fits the brief well, the angle is good and you have captured the moment of speed, its just a little too fast. Perhaps you have a new camera? I’ve just bought one myself and I’m taking some quite similar shots so we are both still learning. A good attempt, do please keep on trying.

One of earlier digital collages. Source photo was taken with Fuji FinePix S9600, f/2.8, 1/400, ISO 100, 6mm in my hometown, Radovljica, Slovenia. The house just by the town moat is uninhabited but still in good condition, although one would probably pass by without noticing it. Except maybe for the door frame build of tuff stone typical for its use for door and window frames in this area.
As Labor Day weekend kicks off, which for me officially means the sorrowful end of lazy, golden summer days, we celebrate the last shreds of vacations spent with a wonderful offering of SIX pages of your photographs. Thank you as always for sharing your work and for reading Lenscratch.

Halászbástya (Fisherman’s Bastion) in Budapest is one of the top Budapest attractions. The Bastion takes its name from the guild of fishermen that was responsible for defending this stretch of the city walls in the Middle Ages. It is a viewing terrace, with many stairs and walking paths. Here, reflected in the windows of the neighbouring building.

It’s rare to see a good abstract image made with multiple exposure techniques, but hey – look at this! The play of colours and textures is amazing. I really love the way it has been put together. I can’t tell how many blended pictures I am looking at but I like it – an amazing idea. It’s a little bit messy but that’s the whole beauty of it. The more I look at it the more new things I discover. Well done!

Departures belongs to a larger body of works with a general theme of urban landscape. Original digital images are created by digitally collaging several photographs harvested in cities around the world. The resulting artwork represent artist (quite so often surreal) impression of urbanity while at the same time offering a level of recognisable details helping a viewer to re-place the final image into a real world, even though not all elements originate from the same place. Which in case of departures points to Tokyo, Japan.
